National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)

IQAC (not a full-fledged one) is formed in June 2014 in a small scale with the intention to maintain quality in all academic activities and to have a strict academic audit. Meetings will be held at regular interlude. Some of the functions of IQAC are:

  • Overseeing the examinations conducted by Exam Cell
  • Verifying internal assessment marks awarded by staffs to students,
  • Hearing grievances of students regarding awarding of marks,
  • Over seeing attendance postings by staffs and undertaking random checks,
  • To check whether the lab works are carried out as per the syllabus prescribed by the University,
  • To look into the complaints of students forwarded by the Principal which are addressed to him,
  • To monitor the tutorial systems,
  • To identify slow learners and to take remedial measures,
  • To interact with parents regarding student’s discipline, attendance, marks etc.
  • To assist Placement Cell in arranging Industrial visits,
  • To prepare staffs for ISO works,
  • To maintain ISO records etc.

International Organization for Standardization (ISO)

An ISO 9001:2008 certificate was awarded in 2013 and was renewed in 2014. The certificate was awarded based on the best performance on various areas such as student activities, results, staff performance, infrastructure available, hostel facilities, sports activities, placement activities etc.
