At present the college has 5 buses and 2 vans to transport students from various parts of the City and also from Tiruppur and Avinashi etc areas. This year it has planned to buy more number of buses.
In order to encourage sports persons, the college is offering concession in semester fees throughout their course of studies. The College has the facilities for variety of games including indoor games. A spacious gymnasium with all implements is available both for girls and boys. No student will be exempted from the course of physical training except such students as may have been declared by the medical officer of the college to be unfit to undergo a course of physical training. Firstyear U.G and P.G students will undergo free medical inspections such as eye screening tests, dental check up, blood grouping, general check-up etc without fail.
The Department of Physical Education, K. S. G. College came into existence ever since the inception of the college in 2001.It has been able to carve out a name for itself among the high achievers in the field of sports and games, mostly by the impressive support it has enjoyed from several quarters, the most important of them is being under the University Administration. The Department of Physical Education periodically foster the students of various department to coach and participate in the events like Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Cricket, Handball, Chess, Mini Marathon of both MEN AND WOMEN.
One spacious (about 3500 sqft) well-equipped air-conditioned lab housing 400 high configuration systems is located in the second floor to help the students to have individual admittance to the latest modernizations in the computer world. Additionally there are 3 computer labs each housing 60 systems. All the systems in the labs have High Speed Broad band connections. LAN connections are also provided.
The Department has a well established main laboratory. Separate Chemistry lab, instrumentation lab with sophisticated instruments, microbiology, molecular biology, plant tissue culture labs permit the students to work at any time.
Almost all laboratory facilities such as audio and video servicing , micro controllers, embedded systems, VLSI Design, computer hardware etc are available for students for hands on training.
The department has a restaurant,productionlab, kitchen for day to day practicals, Quantity Kitchen, modern Front Office and house keeping labs providing effective practical training for students and to surface as winners in the Hospitality and Catering industry. Carving such as fruit carving, vegetable carving, ice carving is also our speciality.
A spacious library with about 10,000 volumes, subscribing about 100 journals and magazines is kept open for the students from 8am to 6pm. Open access system is followed; students can enter, search and select books physically. Alternately on line search and reservation of books is also offered. Five systems are exclusively ear marked for students to browse the internet through high speed broad band connections. Browsing is open for 24 hours and is absolutely free. Reprographic facility is also accessible in the library. A reading room with a capacity of 100 seats is also existing.
he KSG Campus Library has its origin at the main building in the KSG College campus with a floor area of nearly 3500 sq.ft. and emerged in 2002 as a Knowledge Resource Centre mainly to cater the information needed for the Faculty, Research Scholars and all Students which help to hub both industries and research institutions globally. Library users have always cherished memories of availing the services of this treasure-house of documents since the past years. The Library has about more than 14,000 books, 1000 reference books, 36 different journals, 34 periodicals,55 e-resources and maintained with the process of modernization, which to be upgraded with new establishments. A rare collection of books and journals present here is useful for their research work. The library is equipped with high speed internet facilities. Electronic Information Services and Open Access e-resources will be provided in future which has to be tuned as the role played by the Library as an Information Centre. It caters to get information needed to the faculty, research scholars & PG students of the following department categories like:Biology,Computer,English,etc.. We endeavor to further improve all our efforts to facilitate right information to the right user at the right time
Separate hostel for boys and girls with 50 rooms in each hostel is located within the campus. Room rent and tariff for food is very much affordable by the students. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian is served and the food is of very good quality. Farm fresh organic vegetables and mushrooms harvested from our own farm are used for the mess. Spic and span environment is maintained. Recreational facility is available.
