The Department Of Commerce Was Started In The Year 2001 With Strength Of 40 Students. Now This Department’s Strength Is 112. Highly Qualified and Dedicated Faculty Members Are Training The Students. Most of the Passed Out UG Students from the Department Are Willing To Pursue Their PG Program With Us And They Were Well Placed.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of broad business competencies, including the financial reporting process and accounting systems control business operations.
  • Identify the use of statistical techniques to analyze business data and discern relationships.
  • Describe the importance of economic analysis on the global and national economy.
  • Recognize the market needs and develop new markets. Determine the nature of business related issues, analyze available statistical data and decide upon the best principles and techniques to create solutions.

  •   To impart professional education and training in the field of commerce and entrepreneurship education. To disseminate knowledge and information by organizing seminars/workshops/short term courses to develop professionalism and to provide extension services to rural society, industry professionals, and institutions of research and higher learning in the field of Commerce
  •  To interact with the industry, educational and research organizations, and alumni in the fields of curriculum development, training and research to meet the demand of quality technical human resource at national & international level and to develop soft skills of the students in order to increase their employability.

    A graduate with a B.com will have the ability to

    PO1 Demonstrate mastery B.Com in the following core knowledge areas • Students will be able to demonstrate progressive learning of various tax issues and tax forms related to individuals • Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge in setting up a computerized set of accounting books • Students will demonstrate progressive affective domain development of values, the role of accounting in society and business.

    PO2 • Learners will be able to recognize features and roles of businessmen, entrepreneur, managers, consultant, which will help learners to possess knowledge and other soft skills and to react aptly when confronted with critical decision making. • Learners will acquire the skills like effective communication, decision making, problem solving in day to day business affaires

    PO3 • Learners will be able to do higher education and advance research in the field of commerce and finance
